Skeptik

CSC is collaborating with ASU's VADER Lab on a project that uses Artificial Intelligence (Large Language Models) to promote critical consumption of information. Skeptik is a browser plugin that uses GPT-4 to identify, label, and explain fallacies in written text and do the same with misleading information in images, graphics, and statistics. The hope is that when users see possibly misleading information labeled, they will evaluate what they see in media more carefully and skeptically. We have created a prototype and it is currently in testing.
