Rear Admiral Neil Morisetti (Ret.) of the U.K.’s Royal Navy, an old friend of ASP, as well as a member of the Global Military Advisory Council on Climate Change with ASP’s CEO B.Gen. Stephen Cheney USMC (Ret.), visited Texas, Florida, and Tennessee to discuss the importance of climate change as a security issue. In Tennessee he was with ASP Board Member Lt.Gen. John Castellaw USMC (Ret.) to further emphasize the importance of the issue.

At these visits, Admiral Morisetti and his colleagues are explaining to the importance of climate change on security issues, pointing especially to how it acts as a threat multiplier and that the effects of climate change are already beginning to complicate military training and operations. As a representative of one of America’s closest allies, his views on this issue are important.
