[ by Charles Cameron — introducing Theodore, Son of Shoebat ]
I do rather like Ted / Theodore Shoebat‘s Crusading Christian header image, I must admit:
And see that Lady in the banner, top right? That’s the Blessed Virgin Mary. We shall return to Her.
Here’s the thing.
After attacking Glenn Beck (!!) for suggesting that Muslims, as well as Jews and Christians, have an interest in the Temple Mount / Noble Sanctuary in Jerusalem, evangelist Theodore Shoebat, son of Walid Shoebat, asks this question:
Do people like this truly believe that when Christ establishes His kingdom that he will enact a policy of toleration for other religions?
Isaiah proclaims this about Christ’s coming:
And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols he shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made [each one] for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. (Isaiah 2:17-21)
Christ will make His law the only law, without any toleration for falsehoods including Islam and Mormonism.
Here’s that very same Ted Shoebat, speaking on “The Virgin Mary and Warfare”:
Shoebat apparently can’t even recite the Magnificat correctly, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in his piety or scholarship, and he also conflates Eve and Mary in retelling the Genesis story — although…
Well, let me digress. Viewing the Virgin Mary as the “second Eve” is a Christian trope found in the early fathers. Irenaeus, Adversus Haereses, for instance, comments:
The knot of Eve’s disobedience was loosened by Mary’s obedience. The bonds fastened by the virgin Eve through disbelief were untied by the virgin Mary through faith.
This trope is an analogy by opposition as much as by likeness, and beautifully conveyed in this image from a medieval missal, which I trust will lighten an otherwise depressing post:
But to return to Shoebat, as we regretfully must…

And here’s the appeal:
For too long Christianity has been watered down in our modern day as a pacifist faith with no inclination of fighting evil. But is the Church here to be weak and useless? Theodore Shoebat, in this shocking and riveting four hour two disk DVD set lecture series, passionately shows how Christianity is not here to be feeble, but for warfare, to be militant against tyranny and the forces of darkness.
Theodore Shoebat gives a very rich and detailed history on how from the earliest centuries of Christianity to now, the Church is here to fight the devil and his army.
There is value-added, too:
You will not be dissatisfied after watching this lecture, and Bible studies will forevermore never be the same again.
You think? Forevermore never?
