ASP Fellow Joshua Foust was interviewed for the BBC’s “World Have Your Say” on the recent violence in Afghanistan, including the beheading of 17 civilians and the increase in “green on blue” attacks.
“Helmand has been the site of a very worrying deterioration in security over the last year, in particular, but I think overall what we’ve seen happening within the insurgency writ large . . . is that the Taliban has really focused its violence on civilians, in particular.”
