Over the last four years, the counterterrorism fight in the Horn of Africa has expanded dramatically. Most often, this fight has taken the form of special operations forces engaging terrorists or training local militaries. Yet this expansion of forces, and the actions they undertake, is poorly understood. Join us for a discussion with Representative Adam Smith, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee.

Now in his 8th term, Smith serves as the Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, where he is a strong advocate for our military personnel and their families. This includes carefully examining our current policies and working to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.
